BUKIT LANJAN: No wonder Malaysia’s English and education is ‘world standard’ as claimed by the ministry

Shameful and disgraceful, yet trying to find an excuse to blame for the incompetency

BUKIT LANJAN: No wonder Malaysia’s English and education is ‘world standard’ as claimed by the ministry

And, those sharing the image claims that “the educators are blaming Google for the poor translation”!

“I really wonder whether they know what shame is. Perhaps it is a word not in their English and Bahasa Malaysia dictionaries,” Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said.

“In the first place, those in the education sector have no business making such blatant rubbish that shames Malaysians and Malaysia.

“Second, do they think blaming Google translation is a valid excuse for their incompetence? The least is to apologise, not try to find an excuse to blame for the incompetence,” he added.

Shameful and disgraceful English in Malaysia ... really shitty!

Syed Razak, who is Gerakan’s nominee to contest N.37 Bukit Lanjan in the coming 14th General Election (GE14), said Malaysia’s education standard would never improve with such incompetence.

“When the very people who are responsible for administering and implementing the education system and policies are incompetent, do you honestly believe in having any standard at all?

“Until such incompetents are removed and replaced with competent administrators and educators, there is certainly no light at the end of the tunnel for education in Malaysia,” he added.

Syed Razak urged the Education Ministry to immediately and seriously start reviewing and revamping their staff performance, competency and appointments to salvage and ensure the country’s education standards and command of the English language “are of high standard”.
