BUKIT LANJAN: Kudos to Prevena for her excellent performance at an UN conference!

Syabas (Congratulations) to SMK Sultan Badlishah’s Prevena Ramakrishnan for her excellent performance at the International Model United Nations conference in the US.

It is also heart warming to note that Education Minister Mahdzir Khalid took to social media to congratulate Prevena for her achievement.

“But, don’t stop at just that Mahdzir! Follow-up with more concrete action to promote, stimulate and motivate excellence!” Gerakan Deputy Speaker Syed Abdul Razak Alsagoff said.

“Like what I have stated in at least five previous blog posts, Malaysia needs to start recognising talent in whatever field to help produce competent and excellent human capital.

“And the federal government, namely the Education Ministry, must take the lead to ensure competent and quality human capital are produced in abundance to help fast forward Malaysia’s socio-economic progress,” he added.

Syed Razak, who is Gerakan’s nominee to contest N.37 Bukit Lanjan in the coming 14th General Election (GE14), said Mahdzir had displayed his willingness to recognise talent via his Facebook.

“That’s a very good start. Think positive and follow-up with more action, as what I had posted previously,” he said, adding that other ministries could also do the same to help motivate talented Malaysians to strive for excellence and to unleash their full potential.
