What are your New Year Resolutions? Whatever they may be, it will all be meaningless if there is no domestic and global peace.

As we welcome the Christmas Celebrations and 2018 (New Year), it is quite clear that two international and global disputes are set to dominate tensions in 2018 - North Korea’s continuous pursuit of nuclear arms development and Israel-Palestine’s protracted disputes.

Domestically, 2018 is the 14th General Election (GE14) year. Irresponsible politicians, individuals and organisations are, therefore, set to say and do whatever it takes to win the support of the rakyat, at the risk of shattering or destroying national harmony and unity.

The best way for Malaysians who treasure and love national harmony, unity and peace are to just ignore and reject such irresponsible elements.

Such anti-nationals can do nothing if the majority of Malaysians remain calm, ignore their selfish agenda and not support them in any way.

As Malaysians celebrate Christmas and welcome the New Year, besides praying and wishing the best for oneself and our loved ones, please also pray for peace in our beloved multi-racial multi-religious country and the rest of the world.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
