How would you feel if there are two huge garbage bins fronting your house with a free flow of leachate to add to the environment’s aroma? The two bins fronting two coffeeshop restaurants has become a neighbourhood health hazard, a haven for rats, flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches and other insects. “The stench is most unbearable when the garbage truck clear the bin. The truck would leave pools and a trail of leachate,” restaurant owner W.K. Lim said.
